Trivento Malbec Reserve 2021
Trivento represents the convergence of three winds-Polar, Zonda, and Sudestada that sweep through Mendoza, Argentina, the home of this wine. The wine is 100% Malbec grapes sourced from Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo, with a portion of the wine aged in French and American oak.
Tasting Notes
Ruby hue with enough intensity of color that you can’t see through the glass at its deepest.
I first noticed the aromas of berries- raspberry, strawberry, and cherries, followed by plum, dark chocolate, and cedar with subtle herbal and green undertones adding complexity to the wine.
Much the palate, with a medium body, medium, smooth tannins, and fresh acidity that balances the overall experience. The wine is juicy, easy-drinking, and an affordable introduction to Argentinian Malbec.
I live by the motto, “Drink what you like, drink what you have.” I paired this wine with a salad with rotisserie chicken which was delicious. A more apt pairing might be red meat or grilled dishes.

Our winery is named after the three winds that sweep through our vineyards, giving our grapes their unique character.
The icy Polar wind invades the vineyard in winter. Cold forces the sap deep within the vines. Pruning begins to encourage renewed growth.
The Zonda wind rushes down off the Andes from the West. Racing across open furrows, its warmth envelops each plant rousing the dormant sap to supply new, spring growth.
The third wind, the Sudestada, draws in from the East, fresh yet humid, in summer. It gives our grapes respite from the searing sun and eases berry ripening.
