Wine Goals for 2025

In this post, I’m sharing my wine goals for 2025!

New year, new wine goals! Each year, I like to set a few wine goals to keep myself motivated and inspired. It’s a fun way to reflect on what I’ve enjoyed, what I want to learn, and how I can explore new aspects of the wine world.

This year, I’m shifting the focus a bit. Wine started as an interest and a hobby for me—something that sparked joy, curiosity, and creativity. When it became my work through teaching, content creating and now my full-time corporate role, I definitely felt like I was losing that passion. Every wine experience began to feel like just another task on my to-do list.

In 2025, I want to reclaim that original spark. Instead of letting wine feel like another work obligation, I’m choosing to embrace it purely as a hobby—something that brings me joy again. This year is all about keeping wine fun while still allowing myself to learn and explore along the way.

This year, I’m keeping things simple but intentional.

Here are my wine goals for 2025:

1. Plan a Wine Trip

This year, I’m planning at least one wine adventure—domestic or international. Whether it’s exploring a new-to-me wine region in the U.S. or an international vineyard tour, I’m making it happen. Oregon and Washington are high on my list, while South Africa’s wine country feels like a dream waiting to come true. Wherever I go, I’m looking forward to a trip that combines travel, culture, cuisine and plenty of great wine.

2. Finish the WSET Diploma

I’m so close to finishing my WSET Diploma. I have finished 3 of the 6 unites. This goal is about keeping my nose in the books and my palate sharp. It’s been a long journey, but nothing pairs better with hard work than a celebratory glass of bubbles when it’s done!

3. Pair More Meals with Wine

I want to get better at pairing wine with food, not just grabbing whatever’s on hand. This means cooking with purpose—whether it’s a simple roast chicken or pasta that deserves a thoughtful red. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just intentional.

4. Track the Bottles I Open

I finally made a custom template for my planner to log the bottles I open. It’ll help me keep track of what I’m drinking, what I liked (or didn’t), and just stay more organized. Plus, it’ll be fun to look back on later.

5. Drink What I Have First

My wine rack is full, and it’s time to work through what I’ve already got. This means opening bottles I’ve been “saving” and appreciating them now instead of waiting for some perfect moment that never comes.

This year’s wine goals are all about being intentional and making the most of what I already enjoy while still finding time to explore. What about you? Got any wine goals for 2025? Let me know!
