The BEST Leggings | Hydrapeak Water Bottle | Long Hair Ties
Minimalist Shoes | Massage Gun | Sweat Towel
This year I set a goal to get my health in check. In January, I was the heaviest I had ever been, my bloodwork showed that I was pre-diabetic, I was low energy, and honestly didn’t like what I saw in the mirror.
So, I joined a gym and have remained consistent for 3 months. For some that might not seem like much, but for me that is HUGE.
Here are the workout essentials that I love and have been extremely useful on my fitness journey:
The BEST Leggings
I have tried a lot of leggings and these are by far the best for the price. They come in a ton of colors, they are squat-proof, and don’t roll down. I have several pairs and they are literally the only ones I want to wear. These leggings go on sale frequently on Amazon so keep an eye out for a good time to stock up.
Hydrapeak Water Bottle
The Hydrapeal Water Bottle is the ultimate Stanley Cup dupe. I honestly never understood the hype around the Stanley Cup and you definitely won’t catch me spending that much on a water bottle when the Hydrapeak does the same for a fraction of the price. It keeps your water cold forever. You’ll never catch me at the gym (or anywhere) without it. I got mine from Marshall’s but Amazon has a better selection of colors.
Long Hair Ties
This one is for my girlies with thick natural hair. I have been wearing my hair in a twist-out because it lasts through multiple workouts. I hate when my hair is in my face so these long hair ties let me pull my hair back into a big poof. You can also twist it around multiple times to make it like a normal-size hair tie.
Minimalist Shoes
When I joined my gym, the coaches recommended getting minimalist shoes. I had been wanting to try them for a while because I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis, so I finally got a pair. I love the comfort and flexibility minimalist shoes give me, especially on lower-body days. There are many benefits of minimalist shoes. These come in a ton of great colors and they are pretty affordable especially compared to other brands.
Massage Gun
This Massage gun has been essential for my recovery. Thankfully, I don’t get as sore as I did when I first started my fitness journey, but even still, it is a godsend for deep tissue massages. You can easily use this on yourself targeting sore muscles, but it’s much better to lie down, relax, and have someone else do it for you.
Sweat Towel
This one is pretty self-explanatory. I sweat a lot so I always keep a towel on me. I like this one because it is very absorbent, has no synthetic microfibers or plastics, and it’s pretty cute!
